About AFA

What is Abroad Foundation Academy?

Abroad Foundation Academy (AFA) is an online training and test-preparation academy for students, job seekers and working professionals. Its catalogue covers English proficiency and competitive-test preparation, French and German language learning, and English communication. Training is primarily online through live classes, self-paced learning, the learning portal, mock tests and study material.

The free trial

How does the 5-day free trial work?

Register on the learning portal and verify your email. You then receive five days of limited access and can select up to five courses. You can inspect lessons, online classes where relevant, mock tests, the training interface and the learning portal before choosing a paid package.

How many courses can I try?

You can select up to five courses during the trial. Use those slots to compare real alternatives — for example IELTS Academic and General Training, PTE Academic and Core, Champion and Self Prep, or neighbouring French and German levels if you are unsure where to start.

Is the free trial the same as full course access?

No. Trial access is limited. The verified brief gives an example where only one mock test may be available in the free version. Full access depends on the paid package you choose after the trial. Use the five days to inspect the learning experience rather than to treat it as the complete course.

What happens when the trial ends?

If the course suits you, choose the relevant paid package and upgrade to the full access included with that package. If you do not want to continue, do not buy a package. Because paid packages cannot be refunded or cancelled, clear up any questions before you pay.

Courses & formats

What's the difference between self-paced and live courses?

AFA uses Champion for live instructor-led courses and Self Prep for self-paced courses. Champion includes live classes. Self Prep has no live classes and uses recorded video, e-books and digital study material that you work through at your own pace. Not every subject currently offers both formats.

How do I know which exam course I need?

Start with the requirement from the institution, employer, professional body or official route you are applying through. AFA can explain differences between tests such as IELTS Academic and General or PTE Academic and Core, but it does not decide which test an external organisation will accept.

How do I choose a French or German level?

Use the level named in the course. Courses containing Basic are positioned from a beginner foundation. A1 and A2 are CEFR basic-user levels; B1 and B2 are independent-user levels. AFA has not supplied a formal placement-test rule, so use the trial and ask a counsellor if you are unsure.

Are all courses live?

No. Most of the current catalogue is live, but AFA also has Self Prep courses for IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. Self Prep is self-paced and does not include live classes. The format is shown on each course page and should match the name you see in the learning portal.

Materials

What study material do I get?

AFA courses can include lessons in the learning portal, mock tests, handouts, e-books and downloadable study material. Live courses include instructor-led live classes; Self Prep uses recorded video and digital material. The exact combination depends on the course and package, so check the package before payment.

Do I receive printed books?

Printed test-preparation books or course-specific study material can be posted where they are included in your selected package. AFA does not state that every course ships the same printed material. Check the course and package description so you know what physical material, if any, is included.

Are mock tests included?

Mock tests are part of AFA’s training and learning-portal experience where relevant to the course. During the five-day trial, access is limited; the verified brief gives the example of only one mock test being available. Paid access depends on the package you purchase.

Pricing & payment

How much do courses cost?

Verified prices in the current catalogue range from ₹4,999 to ₹63,999. The exact price depends on the course, format, duration and validity. A few course prices are still being confirmed, so those pages show Price on request until the amount is confirmed.

Why do some courses show “Price on request”?

Because we would rather say “not confirmed yet” than publish a number we might have to change. A handful of courses are still being finalised on price. Their pages are complete in every other way — syllabus, format, what is included — and a counsellor will give you the exact figure when you ask.

Can I get a refund after paying?

No. Take the five-day free trial first and inspect the course before you spend anything. Once a package is paid for, AFA does not refund or cancel it. That is exactly why the trial exists: clear up the course, format, duration, validity and inclusions before payment.

What package durations are available?

Across the catalogue, AFA offers packages of 1, 2, 3 and 6 months, plus some longer programmes. Some packages include extra validity beyond the stated period. The exact duration and validity depend on the course package you choose, so check them before you pay.

The portal

Where do I register and study?

Registration, email verification, the five-day trial, lessons, live classes, study material and the upgrade to a paid package all happen in AFA’s separate learning portal. The public website explains the courses and then hands you over to that portal.

Does the learning portal work on mobile?

The learning portal is currently desktop-only. Use a laptop or desktop for the trial, lessons, live-class access and mock tests. The public website can still be browsed on a phone, but the learning experience itself should be opened on desktop.

What happens after I pay?

Your learning-portal access changes from the limited trial to the full access included in the package you bought. The exact duration, validity and included material depend on that package. Printed books or course-specific study material are posted where they are part of the selected package.

The exam is the last thing in the way.

Try up to five courses free for five days. Look at the lessons, sit a mock test, and decide after that.
