CELPIP Preparation

CELPIP is a computer-delivered English proficiency test focused on practical communication. The CELPIP-General test assesses Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking; CELPIP-General LS assesses Listening and Speaking only.

AFA’s catalogue lists one course called CELPIP. Because the course name does not state a version, confirm that the current live course matches the CELPIP version you need before you pay. AFA does not provide immigration consultancy.

CELPIP-General is completed in one sitting and currently takes under three hours. Its four components use everyday contexts. Writing includes an email and a survey response. Speaking includes eight task types such as giving advice, describing a scene, comparing and persuading, and expressing an opinion.

Official timing and administration details can change, so check CELPIP’s current test-format page before your test.

AFA teaches CELPIP as a live, instructor-led online course. The preparation page covers listening, reading, writing, speaking, pacing and mock-test review without promising a target score.

You can use the five-day free trial to inspect the course in the learning portal before choosing a paid package. The current price in the catalogue is unconfirmed, so the course page remains blocked until AFA confirms it.

A useful CELPIP study plan also separates language improvement from test technique. Build the underlying skill first, then practise producing the required response within the task constraints. For Writing and Speaking, review whether the response answers the situation directly; for Listening and Reading, review why an option was right or wrong instead of only recording the score.

You've already decided what you want the language or test to do for you. The useful decision now is narrower: the right version, level and study format.

Where a course shows Price on request, the figure is not final yet and we would rather say so than guess. Use the course page and five-day trial, then ask a counsellor before paying.
