Who AFA is
Abroad Foundation Academy (AFA) is an online training and test-preparation academy. We work with students, job seekers and working professionals preparing for international education, overseas career opportunities, English proficiency exams, competitive exams and foreign-language learning.
The website explains what is available; the learning happens in a separate learning portal.
If you are comparing several tests or language routes, the catalogue is designed to show the format and confirmed price before you move into the learning portal. The five-day trial is there so you can inspect the learning experience before paying.
What we teach
The current catalogue contains 28 courses. It includes preparation for IELTS, PTE, CELPIP, TOEFL iBT, the Duolingo English Test, Digital SAT, GRE, GMAT, dMAT, TEF and TCF; French and German language courses; Spoken English; and Skill Catalyst.
Course names are kept exactly the same on the website and in the learning portal. Champion is AFA’s name for live instructor-led courses. Self Prep is the self-paced format.
How we teach
Depending on the course and package, learning can include live online classes, recorded video, lessons in the learning portal, mock tests, handouts, e-books and downloadable study material.
Printed test-preparation books and course-specific study material can also be posted where included in the package. The learning portal is currently desktop-only. Package durations can include 1, 2, 3 and 6 months, with some longer programmes and some extra validity beyond the stated period.
What to do after your exam
Your next step depends on why you took the test or learned the language. Follow the requirement from your university, employer, professional body or official government route.
For changing details such as score requirements, application rules or test fees, use the relevant official source. AFA can help you prepare for the exam; the application decision belongs to the organisation receiving your score.
