We don't track you here
We will tell you plainly what this site does, and give you a switch rather than a banner you have to dismiss on every visit.
There is no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag and no social-media widget. Nothing follows you from this website to another one, and nothing here builds a profile of you to sell.
Where we do measure visits, the Analytics section below says so and gives you a one-click way to stop it for your browser.
There is one third-party component, on pages with a form, and it is there to keep spam out rather than to watch you. Section "The enquiry forms" below says exactly what it is and what it does.
This policy was last updated on 12 September 2026.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your browser later. Cookies are how sites keep you logged in — and, on many sites, how advertising networks build a picture of what you look at.
What this website actually sets
For visitors: nothing. You can read every page here — courses, prices, syllabi, FAQs — without a single cookie being set.
For AFA staff: session cookies only. When someone from AFA signs in to manage the website, WordPress sets cookies to keep them logged in and to protect the forms they submit. These are essential to the login working, they apply only to signed-in staff accounts, and they do not apply to you as a visitor.
The enquiry forms
Our forms do not use cookies.
They do carry one third-party component: Cloudflare Turnstile, the "are you a person" check. It is loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com on pages with a form, and it looks at your internet address and some technical signals from your browser to decide whether the submission is automated.
It is worth being precise about what that is and is not. Turnstile does not set a cookie on your device, and it does not track you from this site to any other. We use it because the alternative is a public form that fills up with spam, and we chose it over the usual options because it does not build an advertising profile out of the people using it.
We also keep a short count on our own server of recent submissions from an internet address. That count lives for a few minutes and expires on its own. Nothing is written to your browser.
The learning portal is separate
AFA's courses are delivered on a separate learning portal with its own sign-up and account. Because it has to keep you signed in, that portal does set cookies, and it is governed by its own terms and privacy notice. This page describes only abroadfoundationacademy.com.
Links to other websites
Where we link out, to an official exam board for example, that website sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over what other sites do.
If this changes
The Analytics section above is generated from this site's own settings, not typed in, so it tells you what is actually running today rather than what was true when somebody last edited the page.
Anything else we add that sets a cookie gets described here in the same change that ships it.
