About this course
French B1, B2 & TEF is a live, instructor-led French course positioned at intermediate French through B1 and B2, followed by TEF-focused preparation. AFA’s catalogue confirms the course name, level and live format, but it does not supply a fixed lesson count, timetable or course-specific duration, so none is invented here.
The syllabus below uses the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as a public guide to the kind of listening, speaking, reading and writing ability learners typically build at these levels. CEFR describes A1 and A2 as basic-user levels and B1 and B2 as independent-user levels. This is a learning framework, not a promise that buying the course guarantees a particular certification or final level.
The TEF portion is kept version-neutral because AFA has not confirmed whether the course is aimed at TEF Canada, TEF Québec, TEF Études or another TEF version. Confirm that point before paying.
This is a live, instructor-led course. You use the learning portal for lessons, study material and mock-test access alongside the live classes. AFA does not publish a fixed batch size, timetable or trainer profile in the verified brief.

FAQs
What does Intermediate mean for this course?
The catalogue lists this course at Intermediate. Where the course name uses A1, A2, B1 or B2, those labels align with the CEFR proficiency scale. AFA does not state a guaranteed exit level, so use the free trial to judge whether the starting point suits you.
Do I need previous French knowledge?
That depends on the course name. Courses containing “Basic” start from a beginner foundation; A2, B1 and B2 courses assume progressively more prior ability. AFA has not supplied a formal placement-test rule, so ask a counsellor if you are unsure where to start.
Which TEF version is included?
The AFA brief does not specify the version. TEF versions differ in their compulsory components. Confirm whether the live course is aligned to TEF Canada, TEF Québec, TEF Études or another version before you buy.
Is this a live course?
Yes. The catalogue marks this course as Live, which means instructor-led live classes. Learning-portal access supports the course with lessons, study material and mock-test access. AFA has not published a fixed timetable or batch size in the verified brief.
What can I try before paying?
The five-day free trial lets you select up to five courses and explore lessons, the learning portal, online classes where relevant, mock tests and the training interface. Trial access is limited. Use it to check the course before choosing a paid package.
